I don't know for sure how many of these structures were constructed by the Medici family, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Medici , but I think most of them. Anyway here are more pictures from yesterday.
I couldn't get back far enough to get it all in one picture. The next two were taken from the hill overlook, looking down on it.
These next two pictures house the art collection of the family

And the covered private walkway to their residence, now turned into shopping
The river was so calm and still, I was able to get some awesome pictures of it
The buildings are so beautiful and clean
Mariano, my tour guide :)
Where we had lunch yesterday
Winding beautiful tree lined streets
The beautiful vistas
Then of course Statues everywhere. Walls, Archways and details on every building
The Cemetery where Elizabeth Barrett Browning is buried
Landscaping is beautiful
and if they don't have a yard, they put it on the wall :)
And what would a day be without Gelato?!?
Okay, enough for today. I'll post more again later.
